HDR Post Processing

Photoshop has the ability to combine photos of different exposure values into an "HDR" image.
I understand that twilight handles post process tone mapping in such a way that adjusting the light/dark is similar to adjusting the EV on a camera. (through shutter speed and/or aperture size)

I experimented with a handful of renderings and ran them through photoshop's automated HDR process, but PS requires associating each image with an exposure value. I gave an educated guess and the result was decent...

Has anyone else tried this?

To save your rendering as hdr format, immediately after your rendering is complete, save image and use .hdr suffix ... no need for saving multiple exposures and combining in another image. ;)

ah yes, well... pro does have its advantages.

we have seen for years that people have been using the stack to hdr technique saving different exposures of their rendering out of Twilight Render. So, yes, others have done it. I can't point to any examples immediately off-hand if that's what you wanted.
