Twilight User Manual Page 7 wrote:Easy Settings:
As a good rule of thumb: if the number of lights is low, higher settings may be required for good lighting
results, and therefore, as the number of lights increases you may want/need to use lower render settings. Also,
the larger the rendering resolution, the lower the render setting you may need.
With non-progressive render methods (Found in the “Easy” category under the names “Low, Medium, and
High”) the render setting preset assigns more than 100 different parameters automatically. But choosing wisely is
important. It will be the tendency of an inexperienced person using Twilight to automatically choose “High” as their
render setting. In actuality an experienced user may find that Medium gives great results in many cases. Also, it
is wise to choose the lowest render setting possible when rendering preliminary renderings.

With the help of a custom preset Fletch sent me the render time was reduced from 10 hours to 10 minutes
Thank you for all your help, Fletch.

You're welcome, there were some other helpful hints as well...Bob James wrote:With the help of a custom preset Fletch sent me...

Looking forward to seeing how you deal with this project.
My advice would be to do photorealistic 'perspective' images with the whole building put together. Then use Straight SketchUp out-put for more diagramatic- client-informative section-cut/cut-away type diagramatic explanatory images.

A non-progressive render setting to try with a scene with, literally, a thousand lights.

Thanks, Fletch. This is the same one you sent me last October, right?

yes.
but since it wasn't actually in the thread, thought it would be good to include it to "close" the case.
