Creating and Deleting Emitters

Post by feebs » Tue Jun 22, 2021 1:07 pm

Hi everyone,

I'm new to lighting in sketchup.

I would like to add an emitter / light to 1 ceiling surface, so it lets off in even light into the room.

What is is the best way to keep this ceiling independent from all other ceilings in the model with the same material?

How do I delete an emitter from the ceiling material?

Any good tutorials on emitters and materials and how to keep it all under control, as I'm ending up with a very bright model!!

Thanks!!

Place your face with the emitter material applied to it onto it's own layer/tag - turn off the layer to hide/disable the emitter.
Set emitter type to "invisible" if you want it to emit light but not be seen in the rendering.
To "reset" a material to default choose the material with the Twilight Render Material editor Eye Dropper tool and choose Template>Flat>Flat
