Thank you for this excellent tutorial. I am comparing Twilight to higher priced competitors and am becoming more impressed with it as I get into these tutorials. Just a note on a stumbling block:

I had just upgraded SketchUp to 2014 and downloaded the appropriate Twilight version. I struggled in the tutorial, however, when I got to adding the Bump Map to the sidewalk. As the instructions said that the bump maps would be included in the sample project download, I didn't know where to browse when Twilight opened Internet Explorer when I clicked to add texture to the Bump Map. It seems the jpeg images of the bump maps were not included in the download (or else I just couldn't figure out where to find them). I manually downloaded the bump map jpeg files into the same directory where I had saved the sample project file and, thus, was able to select them for application in the Twilight rendering.

Huh, it appears you are right. I just tried it and it doesn't seem to finding the images as we described that it should.

The bump maps are embedded into the SketchUp file (the .skp). When you render using Twilight Render, it exports all those textures to a temporary folder. What is supposed to happen is, after rendering once, you should be able to automatically find those files in the temp directory. However it doesn't appear to be working that way. We apologize for the confusing description. As you note, you can download the textures from the first post above.

Licensed users have the ability to 'export' an entire scene to a directory and it will include all the embedded textures. So that would be another way to get access to those texture files.

Thats good to know about the export I wondered if there was a way of doing that. Like SU exports to KT.

Walt, the user manual is extremely organized, and logical. It's useful, in comparison to most user manuals we have read, and explains most questions you will have. You are encouraged to glance through it. It is not even very long.

Also, don't miss the Subject: Pool at night which contains a pool scene at night ready-to-render.
