camera.rb plugin
camera.rb plugin
Did not know this great old plugin. Togheter with many useful settings what I love is that if you set tilt=0 in the camera properties panel then you have straight verticals and you can pan, zoom etc. to adjust your view and Twilight will render it correctly!
Re: camera.rb plugin
Thanks a lot Massimo!
I just tried it.
It appears to work brilliantly.
We DO have panned 2 point perspectives in SketchUp after all. (EDIT: well, actually, it is not exactly the same. it is actually moving the camera up in the air, so if you are close to the floor, and use this tool, you will actually see more floor than you will in an actual panned 2pt perspective in SketchUp)
In the tool's dialog, when following the steps below, to force your vertical lines to be straight up and down, set camera tilt to zero (0) degrees. Then adjust the height of the camera by typing in the height.
EXAMPLE:Usage: Camera.rb
- set your view like you'd normally do.
- under "camera", choose "create camera". You'll see a pop-up. Choose a name for your cam ("camera 1", "camera 2", etc), then click OK.
- right-click in the viewport. A pop-up appears. Choose "Edit Camera", then change the settings to your liking. Click OK.
- Right-click in the viewport again. A pop-up will appear. Click "done".
Re: camera.rb plugin
True and maybe 2point-perspective is more similar to a real shifting lens. But anyway a big help I think.well, actually, it is not exactly the same.
Re: camera.rb plugin
It's a good find, thanks Massimo.
Re: camera.rb plugin
Well, found a way to replicate the camera.rb's tilt=0 feature with native SU tools: set a view in "perspective" mode-->switch to "two-point perspective" and move nothing-->switch back to "perspective" then you can pan, zoom etc. keeping the verticals straight and the render will be correct. Doh!
