Facebook now has the ability to show off 360 images. These can created using sketchup and twilight with a few simple steps. The results are rather good, as shown in my project Coventry Rebuilt, where I'm recreating how Coventry use to look before world war II -

Step 1: Render Setting
Size - 3000 , 6000
Advanced Camera Settings (little camera icon) - Projection: Spherical
Render the image.

Step 2: Once the render has finished save to file.

Step 3: Where the file has been saved right click and open the file properties

Step 4: Select Details and scroll down the list to Camera. Facebook recognises the image as 360 image by the made and model of the camera, so by changing these settings you can 'fool' Facebook into thinking the image was taken by a 360 camera. There are a few models you can use, I've found the follow works well. Under the headings input the following details:

Camera Maker RICOH
Camera Model RICOH THETA S

Click Apply

Step 5: Simply upload the file to Facebook and if all goes well it should recognise the image as a 360 image which will be automatically loaded as a dynamic picture.

Twilight is unable to render spherical images as animation so if you want to do multiple view points you'll need to set the render up for each image individually.

Those are some lovely first-try images with the 360 spherical feature of Facebook. :^:

That is NOT true. You absolutely CAN render a 360 video image sequence.

Set your camera type to "Spherical" and render your test image, setting the exposure, resolution, etc. as you like.
When you are happy with that, then follow the animation rendering video tutorial, except be sure to keep the camera type set to "Spherical".
Render the video animation image sequence of images to a folder of your choice.

Now, after that, you will need to combine the image sequence into a spherical 360 video. Just how that is done, is not clear.
But you can, yes, render a series of 360 degree spherical images animating the camera flying through your SketchUp model.

Done this also, but with somehow more difficult method of injecting Photo Sphere XMP Metadata. Thanks for pointing out more handy method.

Try Alternative AA render settings for interiors like this ... I really like 04b. It works great for interiors just like yours, Maslo! If not rendering with Easy 09 or Easy 10, be sure never to use light emitting surfaces - set all light emitting surfaces to "fake emit" and use spot lights for fastest rendering results.

My blur can also be caused by too little resolution. My panorama is 3000 x 1500 px. Anyway, I'm obsessed with time. Ideally, to rendering lasted up to 10 minutes. :roll:

By nature, the panoramic images are much higher resolution than a normal still image, so naturally, the image will take longer to render.
4000x2000 seems the best resolution as far as render time and quality being balanced.
