Using SketchUp texture

Post by pbacot » Tue Jul 16, 2019 1:53 am

If the resolution and color of the SketchUp Texture is OK, is there any reason to load the texture separately in the material editor? I mean will it be a better looking texture if it is actually from the same file the SketchUp texture is from? Embarrassed to say I never thought about this before. Often I swap another texture in but sometimes it's the same source.

I do not believe so. It may be worth running a small test on your own to discover the answer for certain.
There is an option in SketchUP to use lower resolution versions of the texture than the one you are importing. But Twilight should be rendering the higher resolution version with or without that display option enabled.
