Discovery/Tip - Material Problem

Post by naridactyl » Fri Dec 30, 2016 9:03 pm

Hey All,

While finishing up this project I'm working on there were two materials that would not show up as anything besides black. Not sure if this has been covered here, but this is the solution to the problem:
stated simply...the material name was TOO LONG.

I imported a shingle/shake material and the name was literally a run-on sentence with underscores; I deleted the whole name and replaced with something shorter. Problem solved.

Cheers,
N

Hmmm... that could be. How long of a name are we talking?

Longer than a twitter message, for sure. Talking over a hundred characters.
