I originally posted my question as a reply to this thread , then realized it was quite an old post so thought I'd start a new thread.

Here's my original question:

I've downloaded Sergio's Antique Mirror texture and applied it to the mirror top of a coffee table.

How would I set up the material in Twilight so that the surface reflects and also has the texture visible, as in Sergio's image attachment in his original post? I see where Sergio mentions that he used a procedural.....?

Do you want the surface to have a smooth reflection, or a reflection matching the texture (like a patina)?

If you are just looking for a smooth, standard table-top reflection, apply the Paint template and adjust the shininess to the degree you are looking for.
If you want a textured reflection, use the Advanced Reflection -> Wood, Mapped template. Set the Reflection channel to SketchUp to have it use the same texture as the model.

With Pro version, edit the material in your Deep Material editor and change the texture to any procedural material you like.

A few bits and pieces from the archive, otherwise known as a deceased HDD external variety.
