Building a new scene.

Post by Mike1158 » Tue May 11, 2021 9:01 pm

Thoughts if they come to you please. A moody corner of a room shot with a guitar standing in the corner. A small mirror behind like it is just there for a while before decorating the room is done. One window or one of the new lights we have been spoiled with perhaps. Some kind of full length drape if a window is involved, NOT a modern setting so far but more sixties decor. The guitar (A Giblson, Les Paul) is I think now fully textured and ready. I tried to get some decent flame maple with the intention of setting a sunset mask on top but this is proving more of a handful so fron of body in flames for the current set. Having a BIOS issue at the moment and hoping ASUS can come up with a fix as renders and Sketchup crash at times with the pc. Jubbly eh?

Thanks, yes it's a Sketchup thing. Not perfect by any means and there are things I'd like to clean up but after my once weekly trip to the stupor market. It's a render though, not a screen grab.

Working out the layout of the scene is interesting, with the assets I need to think of the best way to allow the mats and mats to work with the use of a mirror and exterior light source. The window must be interesting and old so wood rather than ali, Lost to think about which I hope to get done soon.

Thanks to the team and the folks here, you inspire me to improve. :hat:

Testing decoration of the scene, probably go for a smaller chair, I had not realised quite how small the instrument compared to the chair but checked the scales and all is correct.

Apparently the guitar scale was off by a big margin, half size in fact. :wall:
