Pearl Jewelry - New Image

Started messing about with the "jewel box" one evening and things kind of got out of hand...... Rendered on Easy 10, 50 passes. Used a studio hdri. The hdri had four different light sources. Post pro in Affinity. Took quite a bit of messing about in the Deep Material Editor for the mother of pearl texture on the box. Not perfect yet, but not bad. Experiments on that texture will continue I'm sure.

Thanks Mike..... And for everyones amusement here's a second render. Scaled the box up a little bigger. Used a different studio hdri also. This one 75 passes on Easy 10. Post pro in Affinity. Forgot to thank alvydas in my first post. He cooked up the material for the pearl texture and shared it on the forum. Thanks alvydas .

Almost forgot.... the posts and backs on the earrings are real dark.... not sure if it's just needing to render longer or because they are shadowed pretty well by other stuff or because their so darn small .... or a combination of all those factors .

The definition is an improvement, the reflection on the wood texture works too.

Thanks Mike, thanks Fletch. The two images are good examples of how dramatic a change in lighting can effect things. The hdri I used on the second image has the lights on a more "raking" angle than the first and gave a much better result I think. Definitely captured the "fancy trinkets on the dresser " look I was shooting for.
