Nordic Forest Cottage
I found a photo of a forest cottage online and decided to try and reproduce it. Criticism is encouraged.

I think you posted the photo, . I like the slight reduction in contrast which gives a hint of watercolour. Others may be able to find fault as they have better critique skills, me, I just love it.
Re: Nordic Forest Cottage
I agree with Mike's comments about the watercolor.

This is a Pro shot render
I like the DOF of the top of the trees with the sky, the gravel work and the shed/house in harmony with environment.
I could argue about the bark of the trees, too white for me. The sunny side is too washed away and also some leaves (the ones reflecting on the window) seem to large. Some boulders could get into the ground more.

thanks for the tip. SInking the boulders into the ground is a great improvement. And I found some better birch trees.posodrac wrote: ↑Sat Jul 28, 2018 1:27 pm This is a Pro shot render

Re: Nordic Forest Cottage
Whoa! This one had me scratching my head fo a while, if it wasn't for the mis-alligned texture on the birch tree I would still have my doubts on wether this was a photo or not!
Can't really say much more there, my ideas fot it have already been brought up
(Well, I could say the shrubs/grass near the deck on the right seems to have a strangely straight border with the ground but that would just be nitpicking )
So on that, amazing render!

Beautiful render, the darks are a bit dark for my taste, but I understand it's a style you're going for.
Great image!
