This is a rendering of the kitchen renovation that I am planning for my home. I'm not a fan of the way the brushed Stainless Steel is showing on the hood and there are issues with the materiality on the range. I also need to pick some stools as these are just placeholders. But its coming along nicely and I'm getting more and more excited about my renovation the more I play with this model.

The image outside the windows is from the HDRI environment. There are some weird artifacts on the ceiling like the light streak connecting the recessed can lights and some lights radiating out of the can onto the ceiling. I'm not sure what caused them but I like the character it adds to the render.

Rendered originally at 3688x1970 overnight with 40 threads, render setting 9, and then De-Noised using the Twilight Add-on. Proof that the de-noise add on is incredible and absolutely worth it for anyone that needs to create renderings in a short amount of time.

There is no post processing done to this render at all.

Really nice layout design. I wish one day i'll have a kitchen like that.

Spacious kitchen with tons of storage ability. The twin double door pantries you will love. I also like the blue.

Great job. Would you care to share how you did the counter top texture? Good realistic effect, but also has lushness.

I'm a bit skeptical of the dark blue doors... have you tried other colors?

Pbacot, I will post a screenshot of the countertop texture when I get back to my computer on Monday. From what I recall the material is nothing special, I may have tweaked a template material slightly but I don’t think it’s a deep material. The edges of the counter are rounded using the libfredo plugin which definitely helps give it a softer feel.

Thanks Fletch. We have looked at grey colors for the cabinets. We were originally going to do the dark blue color for the entire cabinets. Last weekend we were at a home remodeling show and my wife and I both saw a walnut cabinet with the dark blue doors and we really liked it. Some of our friends have dark blue cabinets and white counters and we really love them.

Thanks rangerrick. I’m really excited about the layout for the most part. I wish the island was turned 90 degrees so that the barstools faced the stove and the sink faced the dining room but the house just doesn’t have the space in that direction. We are very excited about the pantry cabinets. We currently have all our pantry items in our regular cabinets scattered all over the kitchen and it’s not ideal.

Been thinking about this, I agree with the blue cabinet doors working. I like it, a great render and a very nice scheme. I cannot see a model file, is there intended to be one as mentioned above?

Very nice ! Although blue is not a favorite for me I like the thoughtful use of some color in a space. Tired of everything being white.... Great job.
