Much Better. :^: That's a quality image.

I did a quick mock up scene with a reflective wood surface. I grabbed the wood texture off the web
and assigned the Template > Perfect Reflection > Moderate ...... for this result.

Image deleted, I feel I may have hijacked this thread. Apologies

Fletch, rangerrick thanks for the additional input. The last image was more of a test then a final deal. Been changing little things here and there and was getting a little "bug eyed" so I figured I post the last effort and get some fresh eyes on it.
Fletch , I can't recall the exact settings on the wood texture as I've made some adjustments and have another "bun in the oven" now. I will say what I'm trying for is a "mellow shine" if that makes sense. Not as high shine as lacquer but more shine than a satin finish..... Been running up and down the "min shine" and "shine range" settings looking for the sweet spot. Think the one running now is going to be close to what I've been wanting..... wait and see :! . Hope to have that posted tomorrow.

Well I've made myself a little crazy with this one. This is the last try at this I think. Easy 10 , 50 passes. About 5 1/2 hours.
Used an HDRI and The Pointlight in the lamp. Swapped the wood texture out for an Arroway texture. Better or worse I can't tell anymore..... :! . The wood template was Advanced Reflection > Wood Mapped, Min. Shine - 50,
Shine Range - 60. Well time to move on to something else.

By the way .... rangerrick there was no need to delete your pic. Not a problem at all. I can use all the help I can get at times. :^:

Maybe use lower quality render settings for testing so you don't have to wait so long to see results of tweaks? May help keep your sanity.

good choice of template. maybe bump stronger than one would expect :! , but it is a definite improvement IMHO. :^:

very high quality setting and results. :^:

Easy 09 would likely have given just as good quality in half the time in the case of this image if lit exclusively with light emitting surfaces and HDRi. Easy 10 essentially does high quality dispersion and caustics through refractive materials even with point lights/any type of lighting. Easy 09 requires area lights (light emitting surfaces or light emitting materials) to give caustics through refractive materials.

Honest this is the last one...... . Dailed the bump down from 0.50 to 0.30 . All other materials and lighting the same as last post. Rendered this one on Easy 9 , 50 passes. Interesting thing is this render was only about 15 minutes faster than the previous Easy 10 render :! .
Thanks Fletch and everyone else that offered suggestions, encouragement . It's always much appreciated. :^:

I much prefer the previous render done with easy 10, because of the subtle caustic effects. :^:
A little but significant detail. Love the little details.

I think your wood would come to life with additional fill lighting placed thoughtfully simulating
real world situations in a room with windows and other light sources that contribute. Also just a
slight change of camera view position can help to reveal those details in the materials.
