Craps Anyone?

Some more of my silly fooling about. Rendered 50 passes , Easy 10 , 2200 px wide. About 4 hours. Used a multi-light studio HDRI with one added emitter. Post pro in Affinity. Think I'll rerun this with D.O.F. might look a bit better with subtle blurring of the table top :! .

Looks great! :gj: Would like to see the DOF version! What about the background beyond the table? Some subtle blurry lights to suggest some space? How about rounding off the dice and adding dimples? Picky, picky.

Basically what was said above by pbacot, add some more rounding to the dice, and add some background beyond the table. Pretty good otherwise!

I agree with the comments ^, still a good render. What finish are the dice? :^:

Thanks everyone for your comments. I'll address a few of your comments..... First I'll say I did my homework on various sites of Casino paraphernalia manufacturers.
The pips on casino dice are not dimpled. The edges on casino dice are what they call "razor sharp" With that in mind I did for render purposes put a "micro" bevel on the dice. It's VERY small. Beveled a copy that was scaled up 1000x.
The chips were also modeled based on the best information I could find on the size of chips used by Las Vegas casinos
in the 60's. Same with the color of the chips. Best information was it seems there always has been a general size standard for the chips.
Not sure how I could get "more background " in the render considering the camera view point as the sides of a the craps table are fairly high. Did try having some chip stacks on the opposite side of the table but personally didn't care for the look. Wanted the dice and chips in front to be the only focus.
Mike , the red material on the dice is a "translucent plastic" template applied in the Deep Material editor. The pips are the "Plastic > Shiny" template with the shine set to 50.0

You're welcome! If you do decide to rerun this one with DoF applied, I'll be very interested to hear what distances the elements of the render are at from the camera, and what f-stop you used. I'm still trying to figure out DoF in Twilight.

Ja ne!

Thanks Fletch. I think I figured out why DoF hasn't been working very well for me. Largely a matter of scene size. Of course it doesn't help that I had the f-stop scale turned around backwards.

Anyway, sorry for hijacking your thread, Tuna!
