8x8 Bath

Just some practice. Never tried a bath..... so modeled up a somewhat "standard" 8'x8' one. Experimenting with lighting and materials etc.
This scene rendered Easy 9, 75 passes, 2200 px wide, 10 hours on the iMac. Scene lit with an invisible emitter. The bulbs over the sink are fake emitters. Going to try some different light set ups I think.

Some tips from my experience rendering these type of images:
lift the wall base off the floor just a couple millimeters to give that shadow edge. ...same with around the light switches, objects on the counter top. Anywhere 2 different materials or objects come together.
Lighting needs more work. Fake Emitters actually emit light in Easy 09 and easy10 because those methods do not allow faking light.
Need to put point lights in the light bulbs and turn off shadows for the light emitter material. What you could try to do is apply the Template>Lamp Glass material to the bulb glass and put point lights inside.
Subject: Light Bulb - aka "Come on, baby, light my bulb!"

Very nice image, my ten pence worth on the raised wall idea is that it can lead to light bleed/leaking. How about raising the skirting board only? Might be worth a shot. :^:

Thanks Mike. How about 5 pence? What the heck is a pence anyway :! . No problem raising up the baseboard, I usually model them in their own group. Have another render cooking now..... :shh: .

Our government takes various coins out of use now and again. We used to have a half penny coin but was basically too small and nobody was selling stuff with half pence ending prices. 100pennies/pence to the £, no idea if the five pence piece is still legal tender.

Made the adjustments suggested by Fletch and ran it again. Changed color of the towels just because. . Same settings and number of passes as the first render.

I like it too. Nice amenities.

Used to be a penny for your thoughts. Probably "I'll give you my two cents" once meant they expected to be paid twice as much for unsolicited advice. :hat:
