3D Warehouse model...

Hi All,

Just posting a render I made using TW of a model I came across when browsing around the 3D warehouse...
It's the Black and White Bedroom model...

I added a few plants, which I took from Solo's garden pack 1... :)

Hope you will like it...?!?

just saw this here now... sorry for writing on it at KT forum, Kim.

as I said there I think it's very good! (considering it's a warehouse model)

I see that the phone mat. needs to be shiny plastic.
The floor mat. I mentioned needs some specular.

some other nit-picky things...

but considering the source, it's a great render! I love the glass light bulbs! :D

Here's another where I changed a few mats...
If anybody is interested in this scene, prepared for Twilight, please let me know and I will be happy to make it available... ;)

looking good... except the foreground plant... to take care of it, I'm thinking some DOF?!
set the cam's focus target with right-click Twilight menu and set F-number in Camera tab to 2.8?
(if you set target you must use that resulting camera angle, clicking a previously made tab will negate/invalidate your camera's new focus.)

then when you re-render I think it will have much more realism. I was about to post-pro it... but decided to just have you try it with Twilight since it can be done "natively". ;)

also, with the mat, it seems to miss some bump/specular. set it to template of at least rough stone and tweak from there... or use polished stone and back off the reflection if need be. Then use a large bump map to give some very subtle variations/ripples to the reflections.

in post pro the thing is these days to add a bit of vignetting...
I fudged the DOF in pshop and the reflections... which are poorly done here, but they get the point across I think.
I have the PSD if you'd like to see it.

I haven't seen your update on this, Fletch... :oops:
But I fully agree that the DOF adds a lot to this scene... ;)

:D I think you did a great job.
DOF would be easy for you to set up. And I'm sure you know how, but in case others are curious how easy... I created this tutorial on using DOF in Twilight Render.
I would try it, but sort of have my hands full for the moment...
