Old & New Status

Post by posodrac » Fri May 01, 2020 10:48 pm

:hat: Hello all, it's been a while. Other occupation, besides the lack of enthusiasm with Sketchup with results that take long due to my stubbornness for perfection, took me away from CG. I'm already in the descending curve of life, arriving to 56 years, a day after Europe's labour day. But, still being faithfull to Twilight Render here is a simple render trigged by an almost colorblind fellow, chap or mate, depending where you are in the world. Keep safe, not listening to your leaders (unless they are left-wingers).

re: robotic dog on chair listening to antique record player

that chair's coloring is quite surprising.

re: disappointed or bored?
A lot of SketchUp lovers have also found the joys of Blender in the past year. Maybe you could consider picking it up. It's free and powerful with constant serious development. Admittedly the older we get, the more difficult it is to learn new things... the fact of which is very frustrating the older I get.

Looks like I'm really old. Or is just a case of self culture opportunity.
This image is probably the thousandth and one version of "HMV" in the net.

I've made the gramophone myself, the chair is an imported file of 90 MB SU size with included textures, simplified and optimise for Sketchup through getting most geometry to mirrored componentes ending with 27 MB. The textiles use the velvet preset with an extra boost on sheen, rendered as instructed, only with Twilight Render "Studio-HDRI-Spherical", but then the "tend to saturation guy" came along and tweaked some layers with Nik Colletion and that's it.
The image is an incidental case like penicillin.

A great image, would a bit of bump on the seat change things slightly? It would need a lot of bump. :^:
