hallway light looks "blown out" like it's too bright - my guess is that light powers are too strong, and should be lowered, then the overall lighting boosted with Exposure setting in the Render Dialog "Post Process".

I've recommended in the past that whites be set to 90% grey, but here's an idea...

Try setting all white surfaces (like white walls for instance) to 70 percent grey, and your darkest surface to 10 percent grey. Adjust all other colors to be relative to those extremes along that spectrum.

Then, when you light the space, the surfaces have a lot more room to "lighten" from the light. Or darken from shadows.

Run practice renderings without any furniture in the space to get faster tests as you adjust lights.
Adjust rendered image with exposure/tone map settings.

This should theoretically also reduce errors in calculations and increase render speed, shorten render times.
