maybe pink neon is a little too bright - but I have little experience with renderings of neon.

Neon is difficult for sure!
I think what it is - you need to give some darker pink light to the adjacent surfaces, while the surface of the neon light itself should be lighter, in my humble opinion.

This added white line of reflective glass around the light could be a second material that is rendered, or added in post pro. (as I presume you have a lot of post pro already on this series.)
