in addition to using different tonemapping, most improvements were on the models so that DOF was not needed to give the photorealistic look.

improved models:
Speaker on far right
green books
large books of Gaudi and Wright and a couple others
clear top on record player turntable
picture frames

desaturated some textures which were too bright / saturated
