Landscape II

Post by posodrac » Wed May 12, 2021 9:46 pm

Hello once again, I hope everyone is well getting through the pandemic. This is another render that I've layout in SU and edit.
I'm also showing in here the first landscape with (skp) proxies already posted in this forum, with another PP approach.

Good to see you here again, very cool renders mate. you have to do this sort of thing, turn up and give us a bar to aim for. It keeps us going. :hat:  :^:

Thank you, Mike, Fletch.
I thought to buy Skatter but like I do only one-shot renders (don't have to populate all scene) I preferred to save for Artisan and Transmutr licenses instead. I used the old and free Make Fur plugin, for only 3 trees, 2 bushes and 2 grass types althou I end up erasing some and cirurgically "plant" the rest "manually". I have to say that the skatter is emphasis by the ground texture that uses a procedural mapping, tweaked by me. Its resonable for medium and far distances but not for macro shots and goes well with any "dirt" texture. I'm sharing it below. Hope the experts review it (don't laugh when edit, please).
I strugle a bit with DOF, could not get the back ground to blur without change the focal lenght and film size. I fake it in PP by layers.
Thanks again Fletch for the previous advices. :rspkt:

Glad to see more of your great work. Utterly fantastic. Not being critical in any way but I think I would like the train scene without the wind generators in the background. To my eye they seem to disrupt the feeling of depth and motion. Superb image none the less. :rspkt: :^:

Thanks Tuna. What can i say... I'm an ambientalist 8-) . I don't know where you from but in here is difficult to not to cross such as eolian (aeolian) power generators and solar panels. This small piece of land, where I live, is in 5th place in the world on incorporation of renewable energies in the production of electricity. In 2019, 51% of the energy (electricity) used was renewable, of which 27% eolian.
One third of the image is sky, so I had to put something there and I think is blured enough. The train is not running sideways to catch movement on a blink of the eye. What reveals movement is the dust (maybe I overdid the dust too much in such a weather condition).

posodrac , no need to explain yourself. It’s a great image as it is. “Wind Farms” aren’t as widespread here in the U.S.A. We have them just don’t see them all the time. Everyone doesn’t see things the same and the turbines seem to grab my eye over everything else in the scene.
