Twisted Pendant Light

Post by Fletch » Sun May 16, 2021 1:44 pm

With the advent of LED strip lights, a lot of new light forms are coming out now.
Been seeing a lot of this type of thing on the lighting websites.

What is your opinion of this design? Is it a fad or here to stay?

As far as light design goes, it's another winner. A lottery win with all these great lights. :hat:

quads, yes, but UV mapping this in SU would have been a lot of fun, I was not willing to have that much fun.
UVmapped in Blender.

What we saying... if unsofted in SU no triangles will appear?

That is the goal, but of course, there may be a few triangles here and there. Ultimately every quad is turned into tris by SU or Twilight, but the quads reduce chances of rendering artifacts and correct geometry shortens render times.
