Waiting for inspiration elsewhere.

Post by Mike1158 » Mon Sep 06, 2021 7:29 pm

I just thought I would try out a new desk lamp and have a 'play' with exposure, temp and bump values. Not sure, any thoughts?

Ta mate, it started out as checking the lights etc, taking on a life of it's own as these things sometimes do.

I've never seen flooring like this before. :!

Wall base can instantly add to the realism of an interior image. As will outlets and plug-ins and light switch plates.

Smoothing of the pillow geometry may help the pillows look softer.

Lift geometry of bed off the floor half a cm and away from the wall a little could give a shadow line around them that make them more realistic.

Cold blue or slightly teal light off-screen left can balance the warm lights in the scene. And can add to the ambiance.

I'm currently rebuilding the scene although some 'parts' will change. Annoying but NOT the end of the world.

I know the scene needs to be better dressed. Working on it.

This dressing the scene can be time consuming, any pointers I am very grateful for.

Protip? Use Pinterest or Houzz.com and look up "bedrooms" for design inspiration.

As always Fletch comes through with great advice. Nice thing is you can find a room layout you like and try to replicate the image. Or. You can alter it to suit your personal taste decor wise. Lots of room for experimenting.
