my sun is default color and power.
my tonemapping from Twilight is default 1 and 1.
I set the SLIDER FOR THE SUN TO 5!

I save the file in PNG format (a bit crisper than .jpg)

I did tonemapping in Photoshop... I ran the standard photoshop warming photo filter, then I did precisely as described in the post-pro secret 1. Took seconds, because I actually have that set up as an "action" in Photoshop. Whenever I'm finished with all the entourage, sky, plants, etc... then I just hit "play" for the post-pro tonemap, and voila.

added the other 3 views to original first post.

the repeating stone texture is embarrassing. It was the closest match I had to what was actually on the building.

I will be creating a much better one now. (when I get the chance)

mate you could just photoshop out the repetition. but I hardly even noticed it, a client certainly wouldn't.

These latest renders are fantastic....compositing is seamless, well done pal.

do you use spherical sky for these fletch? if so what brightness? your externals are amazing!

OH NO!!!!

Fletch, you'd better get onto that builder straight away!!!!

Fletch,

I use a couple great tools for building custom textures or making normal maps:

Pixplant
Luxology Imagesynth

Both are good but I prefer Pixplant. It is extremely easy to use and does an amazing job. Worth looking into.

These are great renders!!

Found a good wall in town with stone much more like the original house... and was able to create a pretty good texture from it.

Hope you like it better?! :)

Fletch please please please can you share that texture. I work on natural stone buildings all the time! its very nice indeed

however I like the variation in tone of the repeating texture.....but thats just my opinion. it seems a bit too perfect at the moment!

do you use round edge plugin for the corner of the walls? I was considering doing it today but unsure whether its worth it or not

bloody good rendering :^:
