Need Help- UV tools [resolved]

Hi people!

I'm rendering some polished stainless steel pots (with frosted glass). I have applied a scratchmap to the geometry using UV tools plugin.

The mapping is almost perfect...but Twilight will not render it properly. Its just applying the material template without the bumpmap (which is vital to get that polished surface)

I have unchained the texture and chained the bump channel (like bumping a flat colour). Twilight will render it properly....but only when I click on each segment and 'make unique texture'...then I end up with around 200 unique textures that I have to individually apply a template to. there is no way of combining the textures into one (as its on a curved surface, this is only possible with flat surfaces)

Here is a test render...ignore the faceted curves-just a glitch. Look at the Sketchup view as well....this is what the bumpmap should look like.

I'm afraid this is an SU issue. :|
but you may feel free to send us the scene and we can see what can be done. (did you try choosing "weld" 20 or 30 degrees for the material?)
did you make sure the curving geometry is within a group or component? (this 'glitch' is mentioned in the manual)

im not saying its twilight's fault....other render engines cannot render it either. the faceted edges were my fault (as a result of round edge).....my new model doesnt have them.

uploading to box.net now. too high poly to upload here!

at the moment there are three textures applied (as they are different scales)

settings:
hdri lighting: studio026.hdr
brushed silver template. (although aluminium may look more realistic)
heavy frosted glass to the glass surface
common realistic glass to the edge.

will post the link in a moment

I really need to resolve this because I'm gonna be making several studio product shots of these pots and they are ALL brushed stainless steel.

cheers solo but thats not whats getting to me!

can you think of anythin that might solve the texture problem?....other than blender! :)

its so frustrating cos the texture is perfectly mapped!!!

Oliver, is this free geometry or is it inside a group? Did you try grouping it?

I will give it a go but it seems pretty similar to the previous version.

this is kinda what im trying to achieve.....it works perfect with projected textures....but not UV mapped ones (although other UV mapped models render fine ...like michalis' apple model he made in blender)

look at the inside face of the pot (standard crappy SU texturing)....bumps fine (although not mapped correctly)

look at the outside of the pot where I have UV mapped the same texture....it looks like its disappeared. :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:
