it was too clean :!:

i like some noise, kinda soft photo quality maybe.....or as if its printed on rough paper

working on better studio setup now, base is too dark and not enough streaks!

So you like noise... interesting.

I guess you prefer live-action movies instead of Fully-animated ones, then. :geek:

not necessarily. i only like noise in product renderings but its just personal preference. just softens the image I think.

better studio setup now. 6 emitters.....1 above and 5 surrounding the pot + hdri lighting at 0.7 brightness. also increased shininess of steel and reduced bump slightly.

only 30 passes gonna leave it a bit longer.

You may have to tweak the material using Kerkythea in order to get exactly what you want.
If you want advanced material editor, open up the material editor in Kerkythea (it's free, and very powerful) and open then tweak the same library... but save-as and use in Twilight.

On the kerkythea download page for mac.....you guys should write somewhere "you must have X11 running before trying to open kerkythea"....otherwise it doesn't work.

by the way, you know how thea is using a new engine? will that engine become available for twilight? or are we sticking to echo? im not complaining.....just curious. I tried thea and got bugsplats when trying to export so I just gave up, i hugely prefer an integrated rendering solution, so much more convenient (for me anyway)

just in case you guys forgot...... :D

i managed to get the metal correct now. i unchained the texture from the texture channel (after I had UV applied it) and chained bump.....also increased shininess and reduced bump, but bump could probable be a bit less, it depends on the polishing technique. here is an update. looks a lot closer to the real thing now. also the scratchmap isnt quite horizontally seamless causing "seams" so I will rectify that and post another update. man stainless is hard!! :wall:

only 7 passes with interior+ but looking tasty!

last test now, think this one is the closes to the samples I have. cant wait to render the whole collection!

bump 0.1, shininess 650 (may reduce to 550), silver template
hdri @ 0.6 brightness, 6 emitters
gamma correction, lowered it quite a bit

PP: levels, colour overlay, vignette
