First work with Twilight Render

Post by Federicospoltore » Wed May 06, 2009 5:25 pm

Well guys, here is what I've done with this plugin.. The first render (comedor y bandas de colores 3) is totally pure Twilight, I have only reduced the size to a 40% from the original -1948 x 1063- in order to upload it here, and reduced noise too, and the second one is also reduced to the 40%, noise reduction and color correction. :) If you want to see the original size, is in my blog: http://www.federicospoltore.blogspot.com

Thank you mate ! It's only natural light. What I did first was find a big sky picture (cgtextures), then, over expose it in photoshop to create that atmosphere, then use it in Twilight, in Su, an then increase the sky brightness, thats it.

looks impeccable at this scale. (impeccable = so good I can not find anything to critique)
at full scale, I would say there's still noise... but some people like that 'look'.
I hope it's still 'cooking' and you will eventually have a clear version. But if others agree, I'd say it's a gallery-worthy image. ;)

would be cool to see same image in diff. lighting conditions and diff. color schemes... then we could do an animated .gif changing between them, perhaps...

The full size is very nice, shows off the details. How did you light this? HDR global, physical sky?

Fletch: Thanks ! Unfortunetly I stopped render it because I let it cook for 18 hrs and I was too unpatient to see how it finally looked. I would try some differents colors schemes, may be re render it with other lightning :)

rangerrick: Thank you ! I've attached the image I used for lightning these scene, the original size is 8000 x 1959, I used it as a hemispherical sky increasing the brightnes up to 1.200

Wow! Just awesome! I love how it's so rich in detail, and so striking at a glance. Great job.
