irises and vases

Post by JeZ » Sun Jan 30, 2011 3:38 pm

This is a new render with Xfrog Plants Irises.

I was doing since a couple of days white glass vase studies. I dont know which one looks real... I fear none do :?

I try to fix the leaves later, maybe in PP or maybe I'll buy SDS.

As always C&C are welcomed and appreciated.

a new version with some PP work.

I am rather satisfied. This is easier than I thought to fix to the low poly leaves

Jez,
Nice work... plants to me is the most difficult thing to model and texture and you did a good job.

I really like the material on the vases. The look of the clear glass over white looks great.

Which one do you prefer? I tried pretty much any mat combo I could think of... I am not sure which one I like more.

Great work on fixing the green leaves - subdivided them by hand? or?

i reckon if you model anything with glass and you can imagine that if you could actually bump them together they would make a 'ting' sound, or break, then you have created a good material....

....i think you have just about succeeded in doing that.....!!!
