A Roman chapel

Post by Gaieus » Sun Oct 09, 2011 5:06 pm

Well, back to business with those Roman things again. Unfortunately I could not add more details (variations on the wall like some mixed bricks here and there) as these reconstructions must be the "minimum probable" only. Also, my first (real) attempt to add grass in PP which would have probably come out fine IF it weren't out of scale (too large). Sigh... Yet another thing to learn (and collect good images). At least I chose a view where there should not be shadow on it (that will lesson 2).

Original is 1600x1600 pixels (2.5 Mb+) so had to downsample to attach.

You mean "she" as the chapel or "she" as that 3D figurine? :)

If the chapel, well, that's what we found. The walls are 1.3 metre thick and the buttresses vary between 1.1 and 1.3, too. Unusually thick walls (and buttresses) for such a rather small chapel but who knows what were in their minds? :?
