HDR Studio Setup WIP

Post by cheffey » Thu Sep 03, 2009 8:04 pm

Here is a model from Rogue in the Warehouse. I did a 15min setup using templates for materials. (still got some materials to sort out)
I used a studio HDR for lighting and ran the render at 1000px wide on Easy08 preset.
If anyone has any ideas on studio setup lighting and how I can improve it, fire away.

thanks,

cheffey

I've tried a couple KT car paints and they look way too reflective. That may be because of my HDR though.
In a studio setup like this, which renders faster Rectangular emitters or HDRs?

If you are using the progressive methods, you probably won't notice a difference in speed. For the Low - High methods, I'd have to test it, but I'd guess the HDRI would be faster but may not look as good.
