Simple Chinese Home

Post by paappleb » Thu Aug 02, 2012 11:15 pm

Hey everyone. Here is a model graciously shared by the Chinese company SketchupBBS, some very talented modelers who shared this with another Sketchup rendering community and I decided to give it a go with Twilight (also I haven't touch Sketchup for months and needed a quick creative outlet). I have been running renderings after I leave the office for the day using Interior Animation 100 passes (except for the kitchen I cut it short since I forgot to add interior lighting originally). I created very few bump maps and used all original textures (except for the TV image) with some basic Twilight settings and an HDRI panoramic. No PP, don't have time to do it lately. :? Plenty of room for improvement rendering wise but this is intended for people to have fun with.

You can try out the model yourself but you need a hotmail account to download from Microsoft's Skydrive (their Google docs rip-off.) Alvydas I know you've been enjoying Al Hart's freebies so please try it!

Agreed, I like the first shot best. Good lighting/cam placement.
