I'm on Gareth's side on this one :)

This is a kind of "sketchy" render that very often you only do for yourself as an architect - or even to show clients - so the main goal is just to get a feel for the building (quick and easy) without getting lost in details. I like the gray background too, although you could try to make it darker for sure.

Well done!
Cheers,

Adam

great images, if you and client are happy, and you had fun, that's pretty much all that matters in my opinion. :D

Actually, first time I saw the images I immediately imagined them printed with glossy varnish in the grey sky parts in Architectural Record's cover.

Hi Adam,

Thank you.....and you are absolutely correct, it is indeed a quick way to convey a message......for me it's like 'sketchy' meets 'semi-realism'.

For this particular project, this method is ideal....there will of course be occasions where I will perhaps need to build up the surroundings.

background comparisons....red v grey

amazingly fast renderings at a reduced image size of 650 x 320.....using Easy preset 08....30 minutes render time and 80 passes...this is where Twilight really excels..!

  Loving it!!

I was thinking a darker red, almost burgundy, but now that I see it, I prefer this lighter one. It really cheers it up, and gives a great contrast.. very CHIC!! ;)
This really looks like a magazine picture to me!.. *thumbs up smiley*
