Post by jo-ke » Mon May 11, 2015 5:07 am

This weekend I've started to model a tramway of my hometwon.

I've used a 3D Scan for the complicated frontpart.

 That looks fantastic Jo-ke! :rspkt:

Tell us more about this strange melted-looking 3D scan and mesh lab step.

It could just be my computer display, but may I suggest a little tonemapping something a little more dramatic?

looks better indeed. Thank you.

the way I did the tramway:

The scan was taken with 123dcatch. I used it for the guidlines. Then I used soap bubble skin to fill it and give the bubble. A fast and good way to get the right proportions, even if you don't have good blueprints.

I used a few filters with this photoshop plugin - I almost never leave home without it :) : http://www.topazlabs.com/adjust
