Misty Morning - Modern Waterfront Cabin

Post by JDZYN » Thu Dec 10, 2015 8:28 pm

My latest (and best-to-date) work.

A little introduction, as I am new to the Twilight forum.
I had been employed in an architectural office mainly producing 2D renderings and basic SketchUp models before the economy collapsed in '08.
There I came across Kerkythea while surfing the 'net since there was a lot of "free" time in the final months at the office, but couldn't figure it out.

I'd been freelancing as a graphic designer when a friend sent me a craigslist ad for someone needing architectural renderings a year and a half ago.
This guy introduced me to Alex Hogrefe's Visualizing Architecture page which re-introduced me to KT. Following his tuts, I learned his method of clay model rendering and produced a handful of jobs that way.
Back into rendering, I joined a FB group called "3D Challenge". Almost everyone there is using VRAY, but a rendering created in Twilight caught my eye a few months ago.
I downloaded it and after a slow start, am really loving it.

This is a personal project that began as an experiment with water materials.
Please see my Bēhance page for the backstory and progress images of this project.

I actually cleared up the mist a bit in this version! LOL

Thank you. Water is just basic SKP "water deep" w/ SKP matched bump. Texture size increased to 20'x20'.
Sky is an internet sourced image added in photoshop.
