Render for Masters Degree - criticism welcome

Post by pwoyorkie » Sun Apr 23, 2017 1:36 pm

Hi guys,

This is my first Sketchup project and first time rendering anything properly.

This is intended to be the first page of a module submission so I could do with getting the best possible image that I can (within my skill zone).

It's been a learning curve so if you have any suggestions how I can improve upon this (through Twilight or post-processing) they would be well welcomed.

Many thanks

Looks like a really well-done image.
The only thing is that the main subject is in shadow, which never looks great in normal photos, and the same thing goes for renderings... however, it can work in some cases.

Thank you.

The sun is pretty much as it is in a real life setting. It's the most light I could get on it unfortunately.

But as a plus that means the rear has a lot of sunlight so hopefully a render including the garden will look nice.

great result for the first project, I think if you want to push it more to realism, try to work on textures /UV maps/ and details..it helps for sure
