I have tried to use GIMP 2.8 after not touching GIMP for some time. Trying to add a smoke brush and use it was like pulling hens teeth. Try finding the method. :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall:

Cabin? Wow, I'd have thought luxury townhome from the interior look. Nice!

Thanks folks, I am trying for a hillside/mountain retreat but keeping basic amenities. Integration of water recycling and composting toilet will reduce impact on the local area but here, integration is an issue I am working on. Materials need to evolve to get more of the rustic cabin back but texture wise I am stumped so far. Good log textures are hard to come by but this community is something that makes me keep trying. :rspkt:

Of course we are...
If your problem is a log texture, why not create a componente maped cylinder with some irregularities
and build walls with it, rotating and fliping to brake the repetition !? It will work fine in interiors.

Thanks, I was doing that but appreciate the pointer. Multiple instances of the 'log' I want an alternative to the traditional log cabin structure so am coming up with a steel I beam to tie the log ends together. I shall try it and see.
