One thing I forgot to mention... in the video you linked to, it shows that if you paint the light component, it changes the color of the light.

This is the same in Twilight, but it's more advisable to change the color of the light using the Light Settings Dialog, as it affords you command of all lights from a single point, instead of wandering around large models looking for painted light components.

"...painted light components..."? Not sure what that is.

today I was testing ambient occlusion in TWL so I wanted to know if it works in the real AO way or is it faked in the advanced02 setting. I mean can it be used to enhance shadow details like in other 3D package?
I did some test following your method (0 sunlight and sky mid grey) to obtain an AO pass and it works fine. But if I use usual sun and sky and adv02 setting, I see that it calculates raytracing but i cant figure if AO is also calculated and combined with rautrace calculations...

in Twilight there is no AO pass that works in combination w/ materials as in some render packages.

the Ambient Occlusion pass in Twilight's Advanced settings was an experimental one, and is not well documented.
