I am going to be taking a break from the board for a few weeks. Last time I did so, I didn't tell anyone ahead of time, I just vanished for months. trying this time to do differently.

THis is one of the hardest posts I've had to write in a long time. It is with deepest regret and sadness that I announce that as of 0855 hours, Arizona Standard Time, a valued and loved family member has passed away, after a protracted battle with large-cell lymphoma. ALthough she was adopted thirteen years ago, she was no less a daughter than if I had borne her from my own womb, and has often been an inspiration and sometime muse. This has torn my heart out, and left me drifting between rage, despair and such intense emotional pain, I can't find words to decribe. I am going to take some time with my remaining family, and hopefully we can put our lives back together. THe cost of keeping a bold cheerful face for everyone is simply too great to bear at the momen, and has taken a toll on my own precarious health.
