The Twilight "Duh!" thread

Post by Ecuadorian » Tue Oct 20, 2009 11:09 pm

I've just had a very big "Duh!" moment with Twilight Render. I noticed render speed was not what I expected, and then I remembered I had set it to only two threads for a test I did... last Friday. Duh!

So... have you had any "Duh!" moments already? Don't leave me alone here!

lol.

Mine is everytime I change a texture and forget to unlink the last textures bump map, ending up with some screwed up looking surfaces.

Forgetting to invert bumps (and you only realise it when you get up in the morning to have a look at your several thousand pixel wide image ready...)

It's in the Manual.

If you are rendering on Easy 09 or 10, your temp image is saved here: C:\Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\Twilight\tmp_rnder.tmp
If you're rendering with any other method, then the image will only be saved automatically if you set this up in Twilight's Advanced Options (see Options section of the user manual)

Aaargh!! I had a windows update and restart over night, and need to know where the last stored rendered image is on Vista 64. Hopefully I do not need to restart the render)

It's in your "local application data" folder.

So for Vista, something like C:\Users\your user naeme\Roaming Profile... something.

The best way is just do a search for "tmp_inprogress_image.png" (if you are using progressive method. If not... )
