Post by GiorgiMelkadze3DArt » Sat Apr 03, 2021 11:01 pm

I have i5 3th generation, 8GB Ram and Nvidea GTX 650 (1GB), i know it is not good machine for modeling and rendering but there is no other way. my question is about Denoise rendering. when i push this feature (Denoise rendering) nothing is happening, nothing is changing, may it be my PCs foult? :!

Check to see if there is an error message in the log. You can find it by going to Extensions -> Twilight Render V2 -> Options, then clicking on the About tab and the the Log button.

Be sure you have installed the very latest NVIDIA driver.
I had to force-install the latest driver by manual download and installation even when NVIDIA was telling me that the driver was up to date.
After that, the Denoise worked very well.

My first guess is that it will not work with the NIVDIA processor which was released in 2012.
But that's not my final answer.
That said, it should still work with your Intel processor - try switching Denoise to work on the Intel.
!!!When using the Intel denoise you must "capture" the image first while it's rendering, as it is not perfectly "automatic". The CUDA version of denoise does not require the "capture" feature.

That said, here's
DirectX
12 (11_0)
OpenGL
4.6
OpenCL
1.2
Vulkan
1.1
CUDA
3.0
Shader Model
5.1
Twilight FastForward: "Requires an NVidia graphics card with a minimum driver version of 390"
CUDA compute capabilities

I don't know which version of Windows you are using, but according to this, if you have Windows 8 64bit, this game driver should work with your GPU from 2012. game ready Driver 465.89
Does later versions of CUDA support older GPUs?

There is not. All Twilight Render AddOns (Denoising, Terrain, and Render-to-Texture) require a Twilight Render Pro license.

The Denoiser does not support Radeon GPUs (it is based on the NVidia Optix software). It does, however, support a CPU mode that can run on any CPU.

after explain by you, i started using of offline Denoise feature. i click CAPTURE and then button DENOISE RENDER. it works always very well and i like this feature very much. but i have problem today. i started rendering and after 8 hour i want to use DENOISE, but when i click CAPTURE button and it opens new window where would be Denoise render button, there is nothing. what can i do? i can not wait this render because it is very large size, complex model and need many time to get clear result. if i will stop this render a d re-open sketchup again, can i use denoise for this image again? i think no, i can not import image for denoise yes? can you help me?

The Denoiser may have crashed (probably because it didn't have enough memory). If that is the case, the option for denoising would not be available. Unfortunately there is not a way to denoise a previous render after restarting SketchUp.

You may want to change a Denoiser setting, however, if you are running out of memory. Open the TWR Options window and click Options. Then change the Denoiser memory limit from "No Limit" to "1 GB" (or maybe less). The Denoiser may run a little slower (because it can't do the whole image at once; it has to do it in pieces) but it should prevent it from failing due to insufficient memory.
