Some (simple) models made in Sketchup 2014 do no convert to the new V2 version.
They rendered well in the old version.
I also tried the Clean All option before converting but without success.
No success message. Clicking within Sketchup during the wait crashes Sketchup.
What can be the problem?
Model does not convert to V2
Re: Model does not convert to V2
"Clean All" will clean all TWL lights and material out of your scene, reverting it to "pure" Sketchup, so obviously this is not something you want to do if you want to maintain this information in the model.
When converting your scene to TWL2, you should receive some sort of error message or success report at the end of the process, which usually goes quite quickly. Did you not ever get a message?
Open the V1 file fresh and then open the log under Twilight V2 -> Options -> Options -> Log and can you copy what is shown there to this thread before and after conversion process?

Re: Model does not convert to V2
Can you provide us with some information about your system?
What OS?
Did you install Hobby or Professional?
Does it happen on all models?
Can you post a model where the problem occurs (the smaller the better)?

Re: Model does not convert to V2
My OS is Windows 8.1 installed on a new SONY VAIO laptop with touch screen.
Intel Core I5-4200 CPU, 1.6GHz. 8 GB ram. 64 bit OS.
At this moment I installed the Hobby version (I also tried the Pro).
When I convert some models I do not receive ANY message.
I have many (architect) models. I get no messages with several of them but most of them give
the succes message. I still can render the models.
Yesterday Sketchup 2014 crashed a few times after the conversion of one model,
so I only could get the Sketchup dump files.
Unfortunately it was not allowed to attach these dump files in this forum..
Today however, when converting this model again, Sketchup did not crash (?)
and I could render the model !.
However I still do not get any success or error messages.
The logging today looked like this:
16:46:45: Geometry Processing Time: 0 (s)
16:47:39: Geometry Processing Time: 0 (s)
The model is small (just a lamp) and is 935kb.
This is too big to attach in this forum but I can email it to you together with the Sketchup dmp files.
Please advice your email address.

Re: Model does not convert to V2
Thank you for the models elatrium.
We found the problem. When layers are disabled in the Render window of V1, that setting was not being read back correctly in the V2 conversion. So any model with layers disabled for rendering (from V1) was causing a problem. We've fixed it and will have an update in the first maintenance release.
Thanks again!
