V2 OSX Render problem

Post by Rodolfo Prieto » Sat Oct 04, 2014 9:48 pm

Hi I actualy use Twilight 1 for MAC with SketchUp 2014
And I try to use and install vers. 2 in DEMO and have no problem with and uninstall Twilight Render Version 1. To do so, browse to the SketchUp plugins folder and delete the twilight.rb and Twilight folder. like you said in instructions.

Now i uninstall vers. 1 and install vers. 2 but can not use it. and have no one in use. I´d like to upgrade vers. 2 but I have this problem. :? :?

Thanks a lot

What exactly is the problem? It looks like you have Twilight Render V2 installed and working... the log report shows a render being done.

before you render, choose a render preset from Twilight V2 dialog.
before you render, go to Environment Editor and load a valid sky image. The one which was used in previous scene is missing or moved to different location.

Check the Layers drop down in the Render window (The one to the right of camera). Make sure all your layers are enabled for rendering.

Have you tried creating a rendering a model from scratch, instead of converting an old model?

If a new model works, but the old one doesn't, PM me with the old model and I'll take a look at it (the old model *before* it's converted, if you have it).

R. I have the same problem.

R. YES I can do it, I do with a SketchUp template

R. OK This is the example model but no one of MY personal Template is working.

Thanks, thanks a lot Chris  :whoot:

You have a huge number of section planes in your model.

Twilight Render V2 will render all visible section planes. Unfortunately, if you have Section Planes turned off in the View menu, the planes are still "visible". SketchUp doesn't provide a method to tell TWL that the view menu has Section Planes disabled.

You will need to hide each section plane (right click -> hide) or delete each section plane.

Place section planes on layers and turn off visibilty of layers to control their visibility in Twilight Render. This is covered neatly and in depth in our video tutorial on this precise subject in the video tutorials in my signature.
