Hello
I wished to try out Twilightrender V2 - so downloaded the Hobby version. After installing it, when I launch SketchUP, (SketchUP 8 M3) it crashes.
Computer details are:
This is an old computer - Pentium Dual Core - 3 GB RAM Nvidia GeForce 630 GT card
Operating system: Windows XP Professional Service pack 3.

SketchUP: Version 8 M3 - the last updated SU8 version. (Twilightrender V1.5 demo is working fine - I checked with it as I have a personal copy on my laptop & I tested it on this computer)

I removed all the plugins I had installed leaving only the default plugins folder (I make a copy of the original folder and rename it & then install the plugins. So I only had to restore the original plugins folder - so that there is no other plugins than the original ones) Then I uninstalled V2 & re-installed V2- the latest one. Still SU crashes.

If I uninstall V2 then SU works. I am attaching the error report as a screen shot image. Please kindly let me know how to make it work correctly.

Thanks in advance
PRSS

That is the first time we heard of this one, PRSS. :?
Give us some time to get back to you. It makes no sense at all. XP and SU8... hmmm.

So, please tell exactly what happens after you open SketchUp.
How exactly did you "uninstall" Twilight V2?

Thank you for such a quick reply. SU8 crashes in a split second after it launches. It is so fast that you cannot notice anything. I uninstalled it from "add or remove programs" - also checked for any remnants in "documents & settings" in XP (I always have hidden folders shown) I deleted those too (including uninstalling the older version). Only then I re-installed it. As it crashed again, I uninstalled it the same way.

Best regards

We've had some issues with XP, but haven't been able to determine exactly what the problem is. There some possible fixes that we will include with the next release, but we don't have a for-sure fix yet.

Even the latest version V2 M2 release of the hobby version crashes SU8 or even 2013 make in Windows XP.

But your website says XP is supported. I suppose this issue has not been fixed yet.

Thanks in advance

It has not been fixed yet. We are still working on it. We had hoped M2 would fix it; yours is the first report that it didn't.

Hello

Thank you very much for the reply. sorry for my late response.

Probably nobody else other than my own self is still using Windows XP.
That may be the reason that mine was the first report on this. And to be fair, I do not
expect a fix on a free version exclusively for me.

With best regards

I'm still using XP too ... wanting to upgrade to 7.

I've typed up a couple of messages about these crashes also (today and last night), but being a newby here, they haven't been approved yet.

As addressed in all your other posts, Twilight Render V2 does not support XP.
