It definitely sounds like there is a bug specific to that configuration and we'll get it looked at.
There are in fact many users operating similar configurations! I work out of The Philippines - Where typewriters are still used! A colleague has SketchUP 2016 and Twilight Hobby loaded on a similar machine and it works fine.
 Fair enough.

You are getting a crash when you try to add a scene in SketchUp? That is definitely not a TWR issue. Maybe you have other plugins installed that are causing a conflict?

No other Plugins Active - Just 'Native SketchUP!' I have tried to use Twilight both WITH and WITHOUT SketchUP 'Scenes' - But, to no avail! My problem is with the TWILIGHT 'Scene View Button' (Binoculars on the Toolbar) One Click and everything crashes! I have also tried 'Scene View' from the Drop-Down Menu too!

I'm afraid I don't understand some of what you are experiencing.

Are you able to add SketchUp scenes by going to View -> Animation -> Add Scenes?

I thought that I was quite explicit! ("I have tried to use Twilight both WITH and WITHOUT SketchUP 'Scenes' - But, to no avail! My problem is with the TWILIGHT 'Scene View Button' (Binoculars on the Toolbar) One Click and everything crashes!") SketchUP Scenes have been created using the VIEW> ANIMATION> ADD SCENE> and from the SCENE MENU on TRAY 1 However and to reiterate, the specifics are as follows. Viz.,
  • YES I can add 'Scenes' in SketchUP (With or Without 'SketchUP Scenes' everything crashes when the TWILIGHT 'Scene View Button' (Binoculars on the Toolbar) is clicked!

    NO other Extensions are active

My SketchUP Installation is NOT the Issue! - It works fine, both WITH and WITHOUT Twilight being installed.

Twilight is the problem! - Click on the 'Scene View Button' (Binoculars on the TWILIGHT Toolbar) and everything crashes!") The same happens when selecting the 'View Tool' from the Drop-Down Menu (EXTENSIONS> TWILIGHT V2> VIEW TOOL)
All other Twilight functionality WORKS! (Render, Environment, Create Light and Template Materials). Hence, I do not consider this to be Hardware related - If Hardware was the issue, surely the Programme would 'Fall-Over' during the 'Render Stage?' - I have been able to generate quite detailed renders from 25MB Models using Preset 8 (External Daytime, Progressive) - However, without the ability to first 'Set a Scene' in Twilight! The 'Crash' is INSTANT upon clicking the 'Twilight View Tool' There is none of the usual 'SketchUP Hanging' or 'Not Responding' - This would lead me in the direction of a 'Software Conflict' between Twilight and SketchUP.

After adding scenes, did you follow the steps I made previously?
Add a couple of scenes (move the camera between scenes). Then open the TWR Animation Editor and click the "Show the animation path" button (the film strip button). Does that crash?

Good. Did you observer that the animation path was drawn on the screen? If so, this helps rule out the graphics card as the probable cause.

You mentioned that a coworker has TWR installed and it is working just fine. Is the coworker also using SU 2016, 32 bit on Windows 7, 32 bit?

Yes, the Animation Path was there. Colleague's Machine is almost identical, they were purchased at the same time, from the same supplier.

The last thing I can recommend to try is to reinstall the Visual C++ Runtime libraries (which actually fixed an unrelated issue for someone else recently).
You can download the installer here: https://www.twilightrender.com/public_d ... st_x64.exe
If it asks you to "Repair" the installation, then yes, select that. Otherwise install it as normal.

If that doesn't work, unfortunately, sometimes there are computer situations that we just can't resolve.

Thanks for your input however, the 'Fix' was something a little more basic. Over the weekend I checked all of the Configuration Settings on my colleague's machine and compared them to my own. The problem was very fundamental indeed, and did not require a 'Radical Engine Overhaul,' when the cause was having no 'Key in the Ignition!'

Right Click 'SketchUP Shortcut' on Desktop> Properties> Compatibility> Set for Windows 7> Reboot>

The 'Scene View' Module in Twilight Render now works properly! My 'IT Boffin' also advised me that sometimes SketchUP itself installs WITHOUT selecting the Graphics Card - Giving rise to other compatibility problems. Although all of the Graphics Card Drivers can be 'Up-to-Date' SketchUP is not using the Graphics Card! The same problem exists with AutoCAD too; but is more noticeable, and is better documented. In my case it was the 'Lesser Evil' of Compatibility!

Initialisation of the Graphics Card can be set on the Graphics Card Setup.

Right Click (Free Space on Desktop)> Select NVIDIA (Graphics Card)> Select 'Manage 3D Settings'> Programmes> ADD SketchUP to the List of Programmes> Reboot Alternatively, use the NVIDIA Menu from Control Panel> NVIDIA Settings>

Although there might not be any noticeable improvement in 'Speed' there should be an enhancement in 'Quality!' To check that this is working properly, generate a 2D JPEG Export from SketchUP at 2x the Screen Resolution Default. Edge Profiles in SketchUP should be set to 1. The resultant image should be 'Sharp' with ALL of the Edge Profiles showing! Without the initialisation of the Graphics Card and Correct Compatibility, the image will have 'Broken' Edge Profiles and Colours will appear to be somewhat 'Muddy.' SketchUP will also take an inordinately long time to generate an image of <2MB!

Thanks again.
