Custom Staircase

Post by joeymaze » Wed Jan 27, 2010 10:39 pm

Hello,
I have been poping in & out the last several months picking up pointers since I bought Twilight. I am in the landscape construction trade & have used SU to design with the last 2 years. To be honest I have shied away from renders because of the big learning curve(well for me). When I found Twilight it was like a breath of fresh air. It is easy to use & powerful. I have enclosed one of my recent renders for your critiquing. Thanks there are some very talented people on here.

:welcome: Joeymaze,

nice model = nice render :^:
You've done a line overlay in Photoshop? Edgelines look well done!

Now just need some plants... will you post-pro them?

Looks good...nice bump on the stone, soft shadows :^: ...the only thing I would add is a shiny template to the light fixture to get some reflections.

Cheers,

would glazing go all the way down to the grass? would front door have such a large step up? frames seems to be in front of cladding? maybe its supposed to be like this? just my observations. other than that, nice texturing great start.
