Here is what I have been working on for a few weeks.
Mesquite City Hall in Mesquite, Texas.
We designed the adjacent building - Mesquite Police, this is Phase II of possible 3 phase project. The renderings were for the ground breaking held last week.

Re: Mesquite City Hall
The night shot in the last post was achieved using Fletch's Moonlight technique.

Re: Mesquite City Hall
Still not thrilled with my grass.
Re: Mesquite City Hall
First 3 images are very good!
The last 2 could benefit greatly from a tiny bit of tonemapping magic like this.
There's a component for TWL users that is a "block" of randomly placed grass. Insert that instead of the single grass plane. Overlap the edges of the "block" of grass to blur the edges, and rotate each of the block 90 degrees as you copy them around (kind of like laying out carpet squares)
if you are at the edge of a sidewalk, scale the "block" of grass using the middle scale handle to align it with the edge of the walk. If it's a curve, then you can place the individual planes along the curve to fill in any gaps.
There's already a good grass texture as the "base" plane for that grass "block"... you can open the component and hide that plane if you like the one you already have.
If you want to use the single grass plane like this, use Didier Bur's component spray tool... randomly scattering the planes.

Re: Mesquite City Hall
Thanks
I guess I never looked at the grass component close enough before to see that it is bent and shaped, I've been using the map on a straight plane (you can see that around the trees)
I'll check that out and the spray ruby to see if I can get that entry render looking better.
