Penthouse Apartment

Post by amatters » Sat Apr 17, 2010 3:21 pm

Hi Everyone

Thought it was about time I posted some of my work rather than simply 'lurking' around looking at everyone elses! This was my first project for a paying client using Twilight, I must say I enjoyed it very much as I normally use Rhino with Flamingo, but I find SU with Twilight very liberating. I've posted them in WIP as I am never satisfied so never consider anything 'finished'. I rendered it on preset 9. interior (progressive) - I left each one running for about 20 hours, but to be honest they were more or less there after about 3-4 hours. Comments and critique would be greatly appreciated.

Best wishes
Tony

very little to say... perhaps lowering sun power to 4 for the one interior would have helped keep the whites from getting 'blown out'... but it's still lovely. :)

omg, how beautiful! :rspkt: the different use of lighting makes your work really interesting to look at (a lot more than just a glance)

which material did you use for the semi-opaque glass partition wall?

cheers

Thanks very much for the nice feedback. As for the material for the frosted glass, it is the frosted glass from the Twilight library. What I'm finding really great about Twilight is that so much stuff seems to work 'as it comes' without too much messing about. I've found myself sometimes messing about with settings, only to go right back to the defaults in the end! Good work Twilight fellas 8-)

That's great! :^:

What's happening in image #2, center-frame? I see clouds and a barely visible blueish plane...

Well spotted - it's the background image I use for the sky, not being where it should be or doing what it should be doing! Timescales and deadlines mean it is one of those things that I put up with, however at some point I am determined to have some proper back ground views out of my windows!
