Tattoo Machine
This was a little project I did for my daughter who is a tattoo artist and has just opened her new studio. This tattoo machine is a close replica of one of her machines that I modeled in TurboCAD Professional then brought into SketchUp for rendering with Twilight. I rendered a number of images from various views at higher resolution where I will assemble them for creation of a poster for her shop. Here are 2 of them.

Wow amazing renders rick, and superb modelling. BTW, that's one goodlooking tat-gun! You must be proud of your daughter opening up her own shop (and I'm sure she's proud of you making renders like this )...
So are you gonna give us a link where we can see some of her work?

Some say there are no stupid questions. I'm in the habit of proving those people wrong.
Re: Tattoo Machine
Very cool but not sure that so many blur on the second image is necessary
Re: Tattoo Machine
i missed this!! beautiful work rangerrick!
what does the graffiti watermark overlay read?
materials look amazing, very well executed!!
Love the DOF and I do not believe it is too much, just opinion really.
how did you go about lighting this? hdri again? or another setup? just interested, the reflections look great and very natural

Re: Tattoo Machine
Thanks everyone for your comments
The watermark overlay is her shop logo, here is a thumbnail.
Soon, she is in the process of having a web site designed. I’ll post here when it’s ready. So are you gonna give us a link where we can see some of her work?
Yes, Oli, I used a hdri for illumination also with an emitter(right front) to help as a fill light.how did you go about lighting this?
