Re: Problems with alpha texture
please provide scene.
when you apply a material template, you must be sure that alpha is same for your texture.... should be so by default, so this is why I ask for the scene.

Re: Problems with alpha texture

Re: Problems with alpha texture
Hi Jo-ke,
I don't want to change subject - nor hijack your thread - however, I've been wondering why you have the TWR watermark in your renders...
I can see that you're a licensed user of TWR and thereby you shouldn't have the watermarks...

Re: Problems with alpha texture
the reason is, that I'm working on two PC's, and I've already orderdered the code for the second PC.
btw.: It would be nice to join the licenced usergroup.

Re: Problems with alpha texture
you should have access to the licensed user group "Red Carpet Club" section of the forum.
I would start at the Master List of Resources.
The alpha transparency of the PNG image is become a 50/50 clip map, which means that anything lighter than 50% grey becomes visible, anything darker than 50% grey becomes invisible (or vice-versa depending how you think about it.)
The alpha transparency of SketchUp's material Alpha Slider between 0 and 100 will work just right automatically (theoretically)... you will also find the same alpha numbers in the Twilight Material editor panel.

Re: Problems with alpha texture
Thank you for admitting me to the redcarpetzone
I'm still not satisfied with the render of the fabrictexture. I SU it looks more textile, then in TR.
Should I change something in the alphatexture or try a different setting of the rendermethod?

Re: Problems with alpha texture
Can you tell us what you're trying to achieve...??
I believe you're doing something wrong, but I have difficulties understanding what you want the material to look like...
If possible, please post an image of what you're looking for...
(remember, an image says more than one thousand words...)
Have you read and watched some of the "Getting started" tutorials we've provided...??

Re: Problems with alpha texture
The picture of SU shows it very well. It a fabric with some strips of transparency and some strips of a pattern, you can't look through. The patternstripe is OK but the stripe with transparency ist totally tranparent after rendering. I'm shure I did something wrong
